i recently had the awesome chance to work with kierea and tanner meloy on some sibling pictures for their mama. kierea was my roommate last year, and i love the girl to death! needless to say i was super excited to take these pictures and am really happy with the way they turned out. this was my first experience with siblings and i was quite lucky to have them to work with. they were wonderful and were willing to try anything i asked [sit in the snow, please?], even in the bitter 8 degree weather!!

these are the beautiful women that live in plymouth 3. they were a complete joy to work with! four lovely ladies and a quaint ski resort, the possibilities are endless. the sun was a little bright at times and the wind kicked up, but these girls were troopers [let's just say that hiking hills in stilettos isn't an easy task!]

i kinda maybe like you a lot more than i originally planned.

if you really know me. or probably even if you don't know me at all, you probably know that i LOVE adventures and i often plan random ones to feed my appetite. the past two weekends i have ventured to downtown salt lake and park city. i've been to both places countless times, but both trips gave me a new love for each of the cities. maybe it was because of the fabulous ladies who tagged along with me.

it was a beautiful afternoon and we all know how i can't resist the fall colors. thank goodness i have two very willing roommates who are up for anything. old deteriorating buildings? sketchy pipes over freezing rivers? thick forests? not a problem! darn, i love these girls!

labor day 2009

last day of summer. would have been a sad day if it weren't for the amazing day trip we took down to the rope swings! who would have guessed that the middle of nowhere was so freakin pretty?? [seriously though, it's the middle of nowhere]

oh, and rope swings? the rope is tied up in the tree and then you hold on and swing down into the lake. deathly terrifying for those [like me] who are afraid of heights. but SO MUCH FUN. and even more fun to take pictures of!

this is my beautiful sister and her handsome husband. i love them terribly. they're the cutest thing in the world and i'm so glad that she trusted me enough to take their engagements. they were so easy to work with and go together so naturally [almost like peanut butter and jelly]. to be completely honest, this was my first time taking engagements so i was super lucky to be able to work with such a naturally beautiful couple.

also, just incase you were wondering, their celebrity name is SCOBEE. they're gonna be famous one day.

for me, the best part about summer isn't the beach. it isn't no school and it isn't my tan. it's most definitely ANGELS BASEBALL. i treasure each of the games that i get to go to with papi. there are always the most interesting characters and let's not forget the hot dogs! for some reason i had never brought my camera to a game before. it gave me the most interesting angle to the things that i'd seen so many times!! it's crazy how a camera can so easily change something that you've seen countless times before.

laguna beach

i love photography because it helps me to remember and appreciate what a beautiful world i live in. briana and i decided to take a little walk through laguna beach the other afternoon and these are what i came up with. [and my favorite lollipop!] it was also one of the first times that i really started using my zoom lens. i learned on a standard lens so it was really great to try out a new bigger lens, the only problem is now i have such a hard time switching back to my little one!
