summer cannot come fast enough

i may or may not have skipped out of church early today so that i could have enough time to enjoy this beautiful spring day. 50 degrees, partly cloudy. if only the beach was closer. utah lake will have to suffice i guess. it actually kinda reminds me of rancho lake with the big boulders and dirty water... you get my point. not that nice. but still i'm glad summer is so close.

the other side of the camera

so normally miss lexi is behind the camera but we thought it might be fun to get out this afternoon and try out a little bit of her modeling. FUN STUFF. it's definitely a different experience shooting another photographer as opposed to someone who has no idea about anything photographic. but really, really fun. it's always great tag-teaming with her when we shoot other people, but this new little thing worked out quite well too! also, BEAUTIFUL day in utahland.

i'll be home for christmas

ahhh. i love being home for the holidays. there is absolutely nothing better than family and LOTS of food. obviously i took a bazillion pictures but i wasn't too focused on it so only came out with a few that i absolutely loved. we cooked a ton, snuggled plenty, and i was even able to play with my neighbors a little. love them. they're adorable and i'm dying to do a shoot with them one day!

merry chirstmas mamma meloy!

i recently had the awesome chance to work with kierea and tanner meloy on some sibling pictures for their mama. kierea was my roommate last year, and i love the girl to death! needless to say i was super excited to take these pictures and am really happy with the way they turned out. this was my first experience with siblings and i was quite lucky to have them to work with. they were wonderful and were willing to try anything i asked [sit in the snow, please?], even in the bitter 8 degree weather!!
